Years and years ago, me and my friend went for a drink in Amsterdam. Every step in this city felt like an adventure. Clueless, not having an idea where to go, we took shelter in this cosy small pub, around the corner of The Rembrandtplein. I tried to order two pints of Guinness in my best learned high school English.. I got two small lagers instead.
We fell in love with this pub instantly, and the love is still flourishing like a spring time crocus. I still can't understand the Irish barmen, and they still laugh about my miserable accent. But you feel like entering an Irish living room as soon as you cross the doorstep.
On many evenings Irish bands play there regularly. Or go when the Six Nations cup is broadcasted, especially when Ireland - England is on, the Olympics aren't close to be as exciting as this.
The only real Irish pub in Amsterdam.
